CMT group is currently led by Prof. Hongqi Xu. Our research is concerned with strong correlations and quantum transport in bulk electron systems as well as in micronano-fabricated devices.

Research Directions: 

We are aiming to predict and control novel quantum phenomena by employing analytical frameworks such as quantum field theory, quantum kinetic theory, and stochastic analysis, as well as developing numerical methods such as exact diagonalization, variational Monte Carlo, and ab initio calculation. Currently we focus on the mesoscopic superconductivity, hydrodynamic theory of strongly interacting electron systems, unconventional superconductivity, and exotic transport phenomena in topological materials. We aim to make substantive theoretical innovations as well as investigate realistic problems supporting experimental researches in BAQIS.
