The ion-trap quantum computing team is a thriving emerging team, which focuses on the international frontiers, carries out forward-looking scientific explorations and contributes to quantum computing and quantum information research based on trapped ions. The team aims to develop a multi-qubit quantum computer with ytterbium and calcium ions as qubits. Various researches about quantum simulation will be advanced as well. The results will help to solve the core problems of practical quantum computing technology and promote the industrial development of quantum technology.
