On April 13, 2021, the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau issued the "Announcement on the 2021 Beijing Postdoctoral Research Funding and International Training Evaluation Results". Four Postdoctoral Fellows from BAQIS, Zhang Xiaonan, Ren Yi, Luo Wenhao, and Zhang Yue, received class A awards (innovative research and development) for their post-doctoral research projects.

On the afternoon of April 21, 2021, the Division of Quantum Engineering Research hosted the first "Engineering Salon". Discussions and experience were shared on the technical aspects of quantum chip design simulation, microwave characterization, laser direct writing grayscale exposure, FPGA support for quantum direct communication, cryogenic equipment and testing.
