BAQIS Held 2022 Chinese New Year Tea Party for International Staff

While the Chinese New Year is approaching, BAQIS held 2022 Chinese New Year tea party for international staff on January 24th. On behalf of BAQIS Executive Leadership Team, Dr. Huai-Bin Zhuang hosted the event. The international staff from the United Kingdom, Japan, Hungary, Pakistan, India, Nepal, and Sweden attended the tea party. Other attendees include Vice Presidents, Gui-Lu Long and Nan-Lin Wang, Division Executive Directors, Ke He, Zhi-Liang Yuan and Hong-Qi Xu, and Division Secretaries. The party was organized by BAQIS International Collaboration Department (ICD). 


Profs. Gui-Lu Long and Nan-Lin Wang extended New Year's greetings at the tea party. They emphasized that international staff are a valuable asset of BAQIS. They expressed gratitude to all international staff for their contributions in the past year.

 

Dr. Huai-Bin Zhuang introduced the background and progress of BAQIS internationalization. She pointed out that in line with Beijing's global vision, BAQIS is committed to constructing an open and inclusive working environment as evolving into a world-class innovative research institution.  

 

The international members were invited to share their experiences of living and working in Beijing. Many thank BAQIS, especially the ICD staff, for helping them with the international travel and onboarding during the pandemic, documents application, and many issues related to daily life, including housing, banking and medical services, etc..  They also particularly appreciate BAQIS's well-organized international conferences and seminars.  

 

ICD staff played a short movie introducing Chinese New Year's history and traditional culture. Some international staff shared local specialties from their own country. The tea party came to a successful conclusion with New Year's blessings from all attendees.
