Dr. Huaibin Zhuang serves on the Executive Leadership Team at BAQIS, in a capacity as Assistant President overseeing the President's Office and International Collaboration Department.

 

Dr. Zhuang has over 15 years of experience working with China’s top innovative research institutions.  Prior to joining BAQIS, she served as Chief Coordinator of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Quantum Matter (CICQM), a joint venture of Peking University, Tsinghua University, and the Institute of Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.  In this role, she was responsible for strategic planning as well as coordinating Center-wide activities for over 200 members from the three partner institutions.  In the meantime, Dr. Zhuang worked as a senior research fellow at Peking University, and also focused on the design and development of major programs/projects in the School of Physics, including serving on the founding management team of International Center for Quantum Materials.  She previously held research positions for condensed matter theory research at the Institute of Physics, the Chinese Academy of Sciences.  Her publications include scientific research papers, leadership studies, and an invited book chapter published by World Scientific Publishing.

 

Dr. Zhuang holds a B.Sc. in physics with First-Class Honors and a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics, both from The University of Hong Kong.
