Chong Liu’s research interest is the preparation, investigation and manipulation of two-dimensional (2D) quantum materials, including unconventional superconducting thin films, 2D ferromagnetic materials and topological materials. The major experimental techniques are molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), as well as magnetoelectric transport, angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (ARPES), X-ray spectroscopy. As of early 2023, over 30 papers have been published in leading journals such as Nature Communications, Nano Letters, etc., with a total of more than 600 citations and the h-index of 12.
