Bang Wu is an Associate Research Scientist at the Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences (BAQIS). He received his B.S. in Physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2012 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same university in 2018. From 2019 to 2021, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Physics, Peking University. He joined BAQIS in June 2021. Since then, he has focused on the device physics of cavity quantum electrodynamics based on semiconductor quantum dot–microcavity coupling, with the goal of developing high-performance solid-state quantum light sources for optical quantum communication networks. In recent years, as a first or corresponding author, he has published several high-impact papers in journals including Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters, Optica, Light: Science & Applications, and Laser & Photonics Reviews. His research has been covered by People's Daily, Science and Technology Daily, Beijing TV, and other media outlets. He also serves as a reviewer for journals such as Nature Sensors and Physical Review Letters.
