The International Workshop on Semiconductor Spin and Topological Quantum Devices (SSTQD2026) Held Successfully

From June 2 to 4, 2026, the International Workshop on Semiconductor Spin and Topological Quantum Devices (SSTQD2026) hosted by the Semiconductor Spin & Topological Quantum Computing Group of Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences (BAQIS). The workshop focused on frontier physics and technological challenges in semiconductor spin quantum devices and semiconductor topological quantum devices. It attracted about 100 participants from 10 countries, including China, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Hungary, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, and Singapore. It facilitated cross-border and interdisciplinary collaborative innovation and cooperation, as well as academic exchanges and the advancement of frontier technologies in semiconductor quantum computing field.

Beyond the invited talks, the workshop featured Poster Pitch sessions and discussions to broaden academic exchanges and stimulate intellectual collision. These interactive formats were praised by the participants warmly. In addition to offering a platform for young researchers to present and discuss, the activities also stimulated innovative thinking and deepened passion for scientific inquiry.

The workshop concluded with full success and earned recognition and positive feedback. The workshop delivered dual benefits: it enriched BAQIS’s portfolio of international events and promoted a climate of learning and integration; it strengthened BAQIS’s reputation and cemented collaborative relationships with researchers. The workshop was supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology's "Strategic Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation" project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China's "Major Research Plan" Integration Project.
