The First Loophole-Free Test of Quantum Contextuality with Two Species of Atomic Ions
Recently, Professor Kihwan Kim, assistant researchers Pengfei Wang and Jing-Ning Zhang from BAQIS, in cooperation with Tsinghua University, University de Seville and Southern University of Science and Technology, have experimentally demonstrated the first loophole-free quantum contextuality test. In the study “Coherent phase transfer for real-world twin-field quantum key distribution”, published in Nature Communications, the Italian INRiM team demonstrated experimentally that coherent laser interferometry considerably improves the performances of long-distance quantum communication in real-world networks.
