Science reports President Qi-Kun Xue, Adjunct Scientist Ding Zhang and collaborators’ work: Type-II Ising pairing in few-layer stanene
The Sino-German collaborative research team, led by BAQIS President Qi-Kun Xue, BAQIS Adjunct Scientist Ding Zhang and Prof. Jurgen Smet of Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, recently found that few-layer stanene can host unexpectedly high in-plane upper critical fields with abnormal temperature dependence.2020/03/13

Nature Physics reports Prof. Jian Wang and collaborators' work: Discovery of zero-energy bound states at both ends of a one-dimensional atomic line defect
Recently, the group led by BAQIS adjunct scientist Prof. Jian Wang (Peking University), in collaboration with Prof. Ziqiang Wang’s group at Boston College, discovered MZMs at both ends of 1D atomic line defects in two-dimensional (2D) iron-based high-temperature superconductors and provided a promising platform to detect topological zero-energy excitations at a higher operating temperature and under zero external magnetic field.2020/03/09

Observation of 3/2 even-denominator fractional quantum Hall plateau
Xi Lin and X. C. Xie from Peking University, associated with Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences, reported their work on a 3/2 even-denominator fractional quantum Hall plateau on [Nature Communications] in 09/2019. They have observed a 3/2 FQH plateau in a single-layer 2DEG with lateral confinement at a bulk filling factor of 5/3, which suggests a tunneling conductance of 1/6 e^2/h.2019/09/25
