    Progress on Bio-Quantum Sensing with Nanodiamonds

    Recently, Dr. Yan Liu, BAQIS Assistant Researcher from Atomic Ensemble Precision Measurement Group, in collaboration with scientists from Germany, France and Russia, reported their latest progress towards bio-imaging and temperature-sensing in the living cell in Nano Letters with the title "Silicon-Vacancy Nanodiamonds as High Performance Near-Infrared Emitters for Live-Cell Dual-Color Imaging and Thermometry".

    Advances achieved in nanowire-based Majorana systems by topological quantum computation group of BAQIS

    The topological quantum computation group has recently achieved several progresses in exploring a new Majorana nanowire material and developing new method of distinguishing Majorana zero modes (MZMs) from Andreev bound states. These achievements have been published in four papers on international physical journals including Physical Review Letters, Physical Review B and Physical Review Materials.
