BAQIS deposits the salary of its employees in China Construction Bank (CCB). Therefore, it’s recommended that you open a bank account with CCB.

The CCB branch which handles BAQIS salary is Beijing Tsinghua-yuan Branch, located at the following address: 

清华大学东门华业大厦（清华园1号）

Bank staff at the above CCB branch can speak English. There is also a “Green Channel” to provide express service for BAQIS employees. And so, it is strongly suggested you go to this CCB branch to open a bank account. Please make sure to tell the bank staff that your salary will be deposited into the debit card.

In order to apply for a debit card from CCB, you will need to present:

1)    Passport;

2)    ID card of your home country (such as driver’s license, etc.);

3)    Registration Form for residence (temporary or long term);

4)    Mobile number of China.

*A kind reminder: Once you have opened the bank account, please send an image of your service receipt to the HR department.

You may also apply for bank cards from the following two banks.

Bank of China (BOC)

Debit Card:

In order to apply for a debit card from BOC, you will need to present:

1) Passport; 2) Work Permit; 3) Residence Permit; 4) Mobile number of China.

Credit Card:

Bank of China may provide “Great Wall Global Travel Free Platinum Credit Card” or “Full Currency VISA Platinum Credit Card” to the foreign talent. The global travel credit card allows cashback, and the card holders will enjoy favorable discount for a number of domestic merchants’ products or services. The Visa card has a lifetime exemption of annual fee, and 1.5% currency exchange fee is applied when used in foreign countries.

In order to apply for a credit card from BOC, you will need to present:

1) Passport; 2) Work Permit (Class A); 3) Residence Permit; 4) Debit Card from BOC; 5) Mobile number of China.

Where to Apply:

中国银行北京中银大厦支行

北京市西城区复兴门内大街1号一层G区

The credit card will be sent to the applicant through courier. Once the credit card is received, the applicant may bring his/her valid passport, debit card and credit card to any counter of BOC to activate the credit card.

Bank of Beijing (BOB)

Debit card:

You may apply for a BOB debit card at any counter of the bank with a valid personal identification card (such as the passport), and a mobile number of China. After the bank has verified your ID card and validated your tax payment info, the debit card will be issued.

Credit Card：

BOB provides UnionPay standard platinum credit card for foreign talent (Class A), with a credit line of up to 300,000 CNY, and exclusive rights such as a lifetime exemption of annual fee, card loss protection, and points reward, etc.

In order to apply for the credit card, you will need to present:

1) Passport; 2) Work Permit (Class A); 3) Residence Permit; 4) Declaration Form of Tax fulfillment (to be filled on the counter); 5) Mobile number of China.
