Currency

The currency in China is Ren-Min-Bi (RMB). If you check the exchange rate from the bank or a currency converter website, the unit shown on the board is Chinese-Yuan, which is abbreviated as CNY.

You may exchange your home country currency for RMB at most banks or at special foreign exchange bureaus, which are easily recognized by their signs.

Credit Cards

Major credit cards such as Visa and Master cards are accepted in most of the hotels and big shops. However, it is strongly advised that alternative payment should be made available in case there might be any difficulties.

ATM Machines

ATM machines can be found outside banks, in the lobby of hotels, and by the entrance of many big shops. They accept most international credit cards.

WeChat-Pay & Ali-Pay

It is very popular to use WeChat-Pay & Ali-Pay in China. If you frequently visit China or stay in China for more than a month, and if you would like, you may ask our staff to help you to set up a WeChat or Ali account and pre-deposit an adequate amount of money into the account for your daily expenses.
