Work Permit

Once you have entered China, you will need to submit the application for your formal work permit as soon as possible. There are two steps for the application:  first is the online submission of additional docs/info required; second is the window submission of the original documents for verification.

For the online submission, the following supplemental documents are required:

1)     Application form (updated from the application for visa);

2)     A scanned copy of Chinese visa;

3)     An image of custom stamp the applicant received when he/she entered China;

4)     Verification document for Ph.D diploma;

5)     Health check report (verified)

For window submission of the application materials for the work permit, the following documents are required:

1)     Application form (original document + print copy);

2)     Ph.D diploma and verification document (original document + print copy);

3)     Passport (original document + print copy of the passport info page);

4)     Chinese visa (print copy);

5)     Custom stamp the applicant received when he/she entered China (print copy);

6)     Health check report (original document + print copy);

7)     Work contract (original document + print copy)
