BAQIS Successfully Hosted the 8th International Symposium on Quantum Physics and Quantum Information Science (QPQIS-2026)

From October 13^rd to 15^th, 2026, the eighth International Symposium on Quantum Physics and Quantum Information Science (QPQIS-2026) was successfully held by Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences (BAQIS). The forum has attracted extensive attention from peers both domestically and internationally. More than 300 participants from 9 countries and regions participated in the conference.

Dr. Kai Chang, Executive President of BAQIS delivered welcome speech at the opening ceremony.

The organizing committee invited 14 world-leading scientists from 8 countries and regions, including China, Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, Switzerland, South Korea and Singapore such as Oleg Astafiev, professor at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Zhe Yu Jeff Ou, professor at City University of Hong Kong.

To promote academic exchange and encourage broader participation, QPQIS-2026 has featured contributed sessions and invited talks. The contributed sessions include both oral presentations and poster presentations, offering researchers diverse platforms to share their work and engage with the academic community.

After rigorous screening by the organizing committee, 22 high-quality submissions were selected for oral presentations, including contributions from scholars at domestic and international institutions, such as Technical University of Munich, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, and Institute of Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences, making it a major highlight of the conference.

The poster sessions, including onsite poster sessions and online exhibitions, also attracted significant attention, especially for early-career researchers. also featured poster sessions, including poster sessions and online exhibitions. The poster panel evaluated more than 70 high-quality submissions in terms of scientific content, design, and clarity of the presentation, and selected three Best Poster Awards. Poster winners were recognized publicly at the closing ceremony.

This conference has been well recognized among peers in the relevant fields, playing a significant role in further cultivating an international academic atmosphere, establishing an international platform for academic exchange, and enhancing international influence for BAQIS.
