TitleDetecting Dynamical Casimir Effect on a HBAR-Cavity system

Speaker

Dr. Longhao Wu graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Low Temperature Physics Laboratory of Aalto University in Finland, engaged in research on hybrid quantum systems based on high-overtone bulk acoustic resonators (HBAR). He has made research achievements in quantum acoustics control at low temperatures, especially in the 10 mK range, and is a young expert in this field.

Abstract

Our goal is to generate vacuum-state squeezing by parametrically modulating the frequency of a microwave cavity through pumping on the HBARs. This form of purely mechanical squeezing is closely related to the dynamical Casimir effect (DCE), one of the most significant predictions of quantum field theory.
